My wife frequently travels for work and sometime I tag along. We recently went to Provo Utah. Before I go to far I would like to point out that I pay for my own expenses and we pay pay for the extra days we spend there. Many of these are some pretty cool places to visit.
Upon landing we headed for Provo where Rhonda would be attending a work conference. We arrived got our motel and settled in for the night.
Provo is outside of Salt Lake City and like much of Utah is surrounded mountains. It is a thriving city with beautiful scenic views.
The conference did not start for a couple of days and she needed to visit the county building in Manti, Utah which is in Sanpete County. Rhonda work deals in mainly county land records so we have visited an lot of small counites across the United States and found a lot of interesting sites to see I would never gotten a chance too. While she is in working I usually cruise the town and see what there is to see often visiting a local coffee shop. Often the county buildings are really cool old buildings with great architecture.
The ride was about a hundred mile with beautiful scenery and about half of it riding though the mountains off the expressway and on two lane highways.

The city of Manti in Utah is a tiny town with no chain restaurant two gas stations and not much else. The nearest Micky D’s is about twelve miles. But here is these castle while your driving into town it is actually a Mormon Temple. Cool or what!
On the ride home we came upon the Young Living Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona Utah. Young Living is a seller of Essential Oils and this is where they grow distil there lavender. We arrive to late for a complete tour but did get to scroll around the grounds which include the lavender fields, the distillery, a extensive garden and their collections of draft horses complete with rodeo arena. By the time we ready to leave a storm was heading in so it was time to head back to Provo.
