So here we are wake up Saturday morning a hundred miles from home no car and no place to go till Sunday evening for our rebooked flight from to Paris then Athens also no luggage. Luckily our daughter live in Roseville a suburb of Detroit. Aubrey to the rescue. A quick phone and her and her husband Keith would be picking us up about checkout time.

This was a bonus I hadn’t expected lunch on the river in St. Clair Shores. It was a delight to spend the day with them. The stress of the day before melted away. Spending time with Aubrey and talking with her is something I defiantly do not do enough and I really enjoy.
Off to shopping we headed for a near by strip mall. Since we all we had where a few things we put in a backpack at MBS when we thought we would have to spend the night in New York. We wouldn’t be in Athens till Monday evening. I found everything I needed in Target Rhonda needed a few more stores. Even got to stop a Starbucks a good afternoon good company and a good time.

On to the Holiday Inn Express in Romulus with a late checkout and an airport shuttle. So after saying goodbye to Aubrey and Keith we settled in to our room for the night ready to resume our trip in the morning. A little traveling note we like Holiday Inn Expresses they are usually updated and more are becoming pet friendly. Also they are middle of the road priced. We have also found little local motels are great when we make long car trips in ads to the nostalgic feel and friendliness adds to the on the road adventure.
